Mental and emotional stresses

It's easy to see that the mental state of a person is the direct reflection of his or her actions in all spheres of life. You may be worried, upset, envy or hate somebody - and the negative aspects of this condition will surely affect your work, your relations with other people, your plans for the future, and so on. Or you may enjoy something, be friendly, love somebody – and people around you will see the positive change in you and in your life. You'll start to work better, maybe climb up the job ladder, find new friends. This is all obvious and it has been proven a long time ago. The only problem is that this idea can sometimes be hard to realize in practice due to many factors. Anyway, the positive or the negative effect of your mental state is reflected not only on your relationship with the people that surround you, but on your physical health as well. Modern medicine has proven that certain diseases may be a direct consequence of certain mental conditions and moods. For example, the feelings of envy and hate can affect the digestion organs and cause ulcer, unrestrained grief may worsen your pancreatic diabetes, constant fear may lead to the damage of the thyroid gland. However banal it may sound, the greatest solution in case of emotional stresses and negative moods is the laughter. Scientists say that 3 minutes of laughter are as good as 15 minutes of morning exercises. Laughter is a powerful tool for activating the nerve and the endocrine systems, as well as your metabolism. It can cure headache, improve your sleep and decrease your blood sugar.
