Sedentary life

The pace of life has changed greatly for the past few decades. This is an obvious fact and we hear about it almost everyday from the TV. Everybody's in a hurry because there are a lot of things to do and the time is not enough. A familiar situation, isn't it?
One would think that such a hectic way of life should make us stronger as it requires more motion, more action, so that people don't stay in one place forever, always strive for new victories and discover new horizons. To our great surprise, the situation is completely different. Due to the development of sciences, introduction of new technologies, discovery of revolutionary ways to modernize and simplify all processes and all kinds of work in all spheres of life people are forced to restrict their natural motion activity. Moreover, we often have to work in an uncomfortable sitting position. Even if you are a successful businessman and earn a lot of money, if people respect you and you have achieved everything you've ever dreamed of, you can still be unhealthy because of lack of movement. Really, try to remember what you mean by saying "I've got a lot of work to do today". Most often it means you have to stay longer at the office sitting at your desk and solving the problems you are supposed to solve. At the same time you directly injure your health by not doing anything but sitting and looking at the computer screen. Insufficient movement has an especially detrimental effect on the cardiovascular and the respiratory systems.
