Sleep

To be healthy you must always have enough sleep. This will help you stay in good humor, have enough energy to do whatever you have planned to do as well as to prevent many physiological or mental diseases. The need to sleep enough every 24 hours may seem obvious, but still, today it's becoming a hard thing to do. With the crazy pace we've got to catch up with we don't have enough time or desire to sleep as much as we need, although sleeping is crucial for healthy functioning of our organisms.
Did you know that before electricity was invented people slept a lot more than they do now? They simply were bored during the dark part of the day and had nothing to do but to sleep. Today the situation is different. Not only we have learned to light our homes with electricity, but also have invented thousands of new things taking up our time twenty four hours seven days a week. The computer is the most widespread time-taker nowadays – some people that are called gamers can spend days in front of their computer screens and sleep as much as 3 to 4 hours a day. Of course this causes excessive fatigue, bad memory, bad attention, headaches, irritability, stresses, and various diseases of the nerve system. It's been estimated that the minimum period of sleep for renewal of strength is about 8 hours. Of course, this time may be different for each individual, but most people feel good and fresh after sleeping about 8 hours. But sometimes even enough sleep cannot bring the desired rest if a person is suffering from stresses or various mental disorders.
