What should I do?

Ok, I admit that I may not be living my life perfectly. I do have stresses sometimes, I smoke, the ecology is not that good and what not. So I admit all this. What should I do? Is it possible to change anything or all I have to do is just sit and wait till something happens? If you ask yourself such questions, that's already a good sign - it means you start to care about your health, and maybe the health of the people around you. Well, I must say there's no definite answer to this question. There are a lot of things people can do or must do today to improve their health. The first thing is actually realizing that something is wrong – and you've already admitted that. The second one is as easy as the first stage – you must think of the things that happen regularly in your life and have a negative influence on it. Think of the amount of alcohol you drink every week, some other bad habits like smoking, the amount of time you sleep during the day, the amount of time you spend sitting at one place without movement and so on. The length of the list will depend on the type of the person you are. You must be honest to yourself and list all the things that are really spoiling your life. Once you've finished with making the list, you are ready to start the most difficult part. Try to draw up a special plan of overcoming each bad habit or factor in your list. Take your time and think of the best ways to get rid of them. For example, if you're not moving enough during the day, go to the gym where somebody will make you move more if you don't have enough strength of will to do it yourself.
